The Ashland Public Library is a member of the Pottsville District. Today there are over 20,000 catalogued items including books, DVD's, books on CD, e-books, and periodicals.
Our new circulation system as of October 9th, 2014 is SPARK. This system is online and patrons may access their account through our homepage under ONLINE RESOURCES.
Any Schuylkill County resident may obtain a borrower's card by visiting the library and showing identification with a current address. The signature of a parent or guardian is required for children under 12 years of age. We also impose a $5.00 non-resident fee for a library card.
The library also provides public access to the internet. Patrons under 18 years of age must have parental permission to access the internet. There are 7 computers available for public use.
Adult and juvenile fiction, non-fiction books, and books on CD may be borrowed for two weeks. Reference books may be borrowed for one week and DVD's may be borrowed for two days. Our new policy is that there is a $5.00 per DVD deposit, refunded to the patron when the movies are brought back in good condition. Reference books are for in library use only. We also offer fax service. You may send a fax at $2 for the first page and $1 per page after that. To receive a fax the cost is $1 per page.
